Laser Tattoo Removal: Session 1 to 3 [CC]

by Premier Medical Care

so what happened was I lost an entire memory card with lots of tattoo removal progress on it and I sincerely hope you can't hear the honest God literal no word of a lie circus in my back Garden um so let's talk about tattoo removal [Music] no if you watched that video with the tattoo tour uh you might remember I have a really bad tattoo on my back which is essentially a Tumblr quote which I don't want on my back anymore for obvious reasons I.E the Tumblr coat um so I'm in the process of getting it removed and I'm now three sessions in with sadly very little video to show for it which is really unfortunate um but I've also realized a lot of the footage um immediately post laser is not YouTube friendly because when you get laser when the laser hits the particles of ink the ink particles it can cause what is called pin prick bleeding and while I don't personally know the exact way that this happens it just happens um so pulling off the bandage and revealing it and showing days about one through three not YouTube friendly because blood in it and not everyone wants to see that uh so I will just be talking to you about my removal and taking off my bandage somehow because that's the bandage there he is Andy goes all the way over to there we go do I recommend well it's worth it for not having a tattoo on your body that you don't like anymore oh boy um it is not an awful process um out honestly I think removing the bandage is the most painful part okay okay well oh now that's done sort of okay so this is immediately post day three don't panic that's what it looks like sorted now ish you can't really see it that well I think you can see on the back from looking in my viewfinder while I twist uncomfortably is frosting so Frost I only have one socket I feel really um so frosting is just the effect that happens when a laser beam hits that particle of ink and goes um so obviously you can still see quite a lot of it the goal for me is not to get rid of all of it but as much as possible and the more sessions we go through the more each particle and each part of the lines fade so at the moment it's still kind of a readable tattoo but it's not it's less it's less dark and hopefully it will be easier to cover which I'm very excited um because I'm going I've got a back piece um in mind I have an artist who's agreeable I'm just sending him pictures of removal process until he says yep I can cover that uh so that is very very exciting biggest question I get asked plant removal is does it hurt um yes but it's not like tattoo pain it's more it is very very sharp it's a very sharp pain and it's very much like someone is like smack an elastic band like one of these like one of these is going like over and over again um but actually that doesn't hurt as much but that is just a little hair scrunchie it's like an actual elastic band if someone pulled it back as far as it went and just went Bing um that's kind of what it's like but very quickly and very quick session um it's not comfortable but it's not awful I've done three sessions and you start at like the lowest intensity I don't know if that's a word um but it's less painful the first time kind of because the burst is like only one think it's a low number of um and then the next session you go up a setting and then the next session you go up and on settings so I'm I think she said I'm on like number six so I've got like six little bursts of stuff um very scientific um explanation of laser for me today it just can get a bit more intense I think next time she well her exact words was I'm going to mess about with the lenses next time and see if we can get some of those deeper levels okay that doesn't sound less painful but she assures me that the pain is the same so we'll see I guess in lieu of vlogging footage even though I'm the world's worst vlogger anyway um I was anxious but it was fine um didn't take super long didn't need any breaks really I just sat there the procedure I'm choosing to do the bit in the Middle with the words is more painful and I like to do that bit first because scent can only get better and then the shoulder blade bit I can just like sit and chill for now but the first time there was lots and lots of that pinprint bleeding there was lots and lots of frosting and it just looked horrendous I took the bandage off I actually did do that but on camera and I very quickly realized like oh no maybe people don't want to see this um and there's probably people among you that would actively want to see it um sorry it looked like someone had stabbed lots of needles a very fresh tattoo it looked kind of like that but way worse um and then it over the like the next three days after that the pimprint bleeding kind of went away like the scabs all kind of came off and then um it just looked like a massive hickey on my back which was fine I don't mind that because I was wearing t-shirts and then the hickey looking thing kind of faded and it just turned into just just looked like this but slightly more faded um and looking up close in the mirror you could see the parts that had been hit by the laser and it was kind of like a really patchy Line work and then it just kind of stayed like that until my next session so session two pretty much the same there was like the temperate bleeding the the hickey thing um and then just it fades over the next like six or so weeks and then we come to today very little pimprint bleeding which yay uh which means it's gonna be much nicer to heal over the next six weeks because it's not going to be quite as crunchy or crispy should I say um because obviously scabs are quite dry and then it just feels quite dry and it can feel quite tight because there's a lot of movement in shoulders especially at work when I'm like leaning over and preparing stuff and lifting stuff so it's it's so far nicer but I have like just my session was I thought I was here four and a half hours ago so it could get worse and because I don't have any Pembroke bleeding this time I don't know if I will have so much of a hickey um I will try and check back in tomorrow and we'll see um but I feel like this session might be nice to heal so let's talk about the Aftercare it varies from person to person honestly uh it depends if you Google it first um I'm just going by what my technician tells me it's been an aloe vera for like the first three to five days and then a nice soothing balm that she gives me um while it's healing at the early stages of the healing I use the balm a bit more it's usually more like when I wake up in the morning and you put it on and then when I go to bed at night I put a bit on if it gets itchy I put a bit on um I don't use it every day for the six weeks because it's just sorry um and I just use it for as long as it feels correct and that's she has signed off on that just keeping it clean wearing clean clothes I'm just wearing a vest this is clean um but I'm wearing a vest so I don't really have anything touching price I guess let's talk about the price um it's not prohibitively expensive to me anymore I'm paying 110 pound per session every six ish weeks there was a bit longer between my first and second session due to a holiday and work things um and then this time was six weeks and then my next one is in about seven weeks again because holiday and a lot of things uh so that is lots of fun it's cheaper than I'd seen elsewhere so the Skin Clinic if you're in the UK you might see in the Skin Clinic if you ever Google like local tattoo removal they'll probably be in the first search results they're expensive um they quoted me 400 pound per session for not even the whole tattoo so not gonna bother with those ever um and that's literally just paying because they're a big clinic and they've got that big licensing to run it's not necessary for what I wanted and needed for my removal medical precautions um there aren't really any that would kind of apply to me because we've chatted and checked and everything I have a letter from my doctor being like yep medication is fine um there are medications that if you take you can't then have tattoo removal while they're still in your system so antihistamines are sometimes a big one mine are okay ibuprofen is a known problem and antidepressants quite commonly can interfere with laser tattoo removal and it's more the fact that it increases your likelihood of having like a photo sensitive reaction which can be very very bad um it can be hives it can be itching redness swelling it's not ideal um so if you can get rid of those medications so ibuprofen I I take those sometimes but I haven't since I started laser removal I miss it it's my painkiller of choice but I've been on paracetamol because I behave myself and if I keep taking ibuprofen I will never get this tattoo gone did it I just the sooner it's over the better that's kind of it people make tattoo removal out to be much bigger of a deal than I think it actually is um that's not to say go ahead and make silly choices and get silly tattoos that you're definitely gonna regret because it's not a painless process it is more expensive than getting a tattoo no guarantee that it will actually get rid of the tattoo to the extent that you want or need it to go um and then you just have to eventually because it's never going to be all gone so more than likely you're gonna have to cover it up with something else and luckily I have plans for that that's why I'm getting it removed so I can cover it up if I didn't have such plans I would have just left it um but it's not the worst thing in the world is it more painful than a tattoo I wouldn't say that it is because um I got a new one on my arm um and it did hurt for a couple of days and like you know the rest of them like I've got my stomach tattooed for goodness sake that was painful um not prohibitively so but like don't let pain put you off anything really um but it's not it's not as bad as I thought it would be it sucks every time I see my technician I'm just like she's like yeah good to see you and I was like I really wish I could say the same no offense don't really want to be here um but she's great and we have a great time and I'm glad I'm finally doing it because I've wanted this for so long ah this is the real reason I got a job um no it's not so yeah that's that's been a makeup video for not making anything I still want to make videos because I do want to make videos just don't have any time goodness what is this A Whole New World so that's that's an update on my tattoo removal Journey um sorry I couldn't show you much more I'm gonna go if you have any comments or questions or I've left something out ridiculously um put them in the comment section below and I will get to them next time whenever that might be and while you're there don't forget to like this video something something subscribe to my channel uh videos come out and come out sometimes um ring that notification Bell so that when I do put out the video you get notified and you know that it's there and the next one will not be about tattoo removal um because I'm still a whole person and I still have lots of things I want to make I still have a whole camping vlog um that is not really a vlog we'll go with it okay um yeah so I'm doing my best bring that notification Bell so you get notified when I am doing my best okay see ya [Music]
